Jason Gillette
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jason Andrew Hartland Gillette on Thursday January 23, 2020.
He lived graciously and courageously with cancer for 6 years defying the odds and surprising doctors until his last breath with his beloved wife Teresa Roti Gillette right by his side. As a father, he dedicated everything he was and had to his two beautiful girls Jayden Domenica and Tristyn Angelica and never stopped creating wonderful memories for them to remember how much he loves them and their mom. Cancer never stopped him from living to the fullest and he lived for his girls.
He will also be fondly remembered for his humor, strength, generosity and charisma by all who loved him which includes his parents Marilyn Perrin and Frank Gillette(Shirley), his brothers Brandon(Jayne), Tim(Marianne), his niece Eleanor, his mother-in-law Concetta Roti and his brothers-in-law Bruno and Salvatore, as well as many other relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held at Madre dei Cristiani Church (7935, rue Lefebvre LaSalle, QC H8N 2A9) on Saturday February 29, at 1pm this is where his daughters were baptized and he attended mass when possible.
A celebration of Jason"s life will follow at Urgel Bourgie Feron Funeral complex, (1275 Ave Dollard, LaSalle, H8N 2J1), from 2 to 5pm.
Teresa would love to create a storybook for their daughters that she can read to them every night, she invites you to write your memories or stories of Jason and bring them to the celebration of his life.
If you have any pictures or videos please bring them to share.
Please, no flowers it is not what Jason wanted and In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jason can be made to the RESP of his 2 girls whom he loved the most to help contribute to their future or to help us donate directly to go funding pages of other families living with cancer seeking alternative treatments for which they need financial help such as was done for us.
We will ride again my love once my time comes and we are re-united for eternity.
