Diane Saad (née Koury)
After a long and difficult battle with cancer, Diane passed away on Friday, January 10th, 2020 in the Palliative Care Unit of the MUHC in Montréal.
Diane is survived by her two sons, Norman (Pola Sofonio) and Ronnie (Amal Abi-Najem), her eight granddaughters, Jennifer, Jamie, Ashley, Lauren, Lindsay, Amber, Savannah, and Bianka, and her extended family.
Diane was the last of her generation and warmly assumed the role of matriarch to her entire extended family. Her favourite role was that of Sito to her eight grand-daughters, whom she adored and cherished. Having already lost two of her sons, she loved Norman and Ronnie with all her heart.
She will be deeply missed by both of them, and by all those who knew her throughout her life.
A special thanks is given to the Palliative Care Unit of the MUHC, who cared for her with dignity, respect, and the highest level of medical care.
