Rita Forgacs (née White)
Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. Passed away peacefully at 6 pm on the beautiful, summer day of Monday September 9th in Montreal.
Born and raised in Point Leamington, Newfoundland. Educated in Newfoundland and Montreal, Quebec. She spent most of her working career teaching in Montreal. She married the late Nicklaus (Nick) Forgacs in 1965 and they lived in Pointe Claire for approximately 25 years, upon her retirement she relocated to Brockville Ontario, where she resided for 24 years.
Rita is survived by her son Andras Forgacs(Sheila Marcotte), grandson John Thomas and remaining brothers and sisters; Joyce Runde, Minnie Summers, Gertrude Brake, William White, Thomas White, Arch White and Ivan White. She joins her parents(Thomas and Dora) and siblings Audrey Parsons, Nellie Foote, Grace Bennett Philpott, Reginald White in glory.
Her greatest joys came from time she had spent teaching music to children and reading scripture. She also had a lifelong affinity for painting. She was the teacher who made a generation of children spit out their gum and stand up straight. She will be missed by all who know her. She belonged with us, now she belongs to God.
A Small memorial service will be held on Saturday September the 21st 2019 from 2-5 at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home in Lasalle.
