Anna Maria Ferri
Passed away in Montreal on July 22nd from complications of a lung infection, at the age of 68.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, George Lortie, and their son David (Sarah Siklosi), pre-deceased by their son Simon.
She is also mourned by her brother Gino (Patricia Boersma), her nieces Teresa (Chris Antulov), Anita (Peter Steblyk), Gina (Larry Hawkeye), and ner nephew Michael (S Marie Ferri), and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews, as well as many friends, who enjoyed her vibrant personality and witty sense of humour.
Anna Maria was a dedicated wife and loving mother, who took time off her teaching career to raise her sons, and to support their educational environment.
She participated as a member and as president of Home and School committees, and was regularly invited to serve by sharing her experience as a parent and teacher on PSBGM committees.
Visitation on Saturday will be followed by a liturgical service at 4:30 PM. followed by a light buffet.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna Maria’s name may be made to the Quebec Lung Association, or to a preferred charity.
