Peter Pollake
It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Peter Pollake ( March 3, 1928 - October 5, 2016). Peter was born in Bodenbach, CZE lived in his beloved Austria until 1951 when he immigrated to Canada to begin a new adventure.
He leaves behind his daughter, Catherine St.Onge (Marcel), son John Pollak (Denise, grandchildren; Shari, Jacques, Chris, Michael(Sylvie), Lisa (Spencer, Kimberly and Steven, great grandchildren; Desarae, Jazzlynn and Alivia, his sister Ingrid Raffel and sister in law Rose Pollak, and dearest friend Otti Coulter. He was predeceased by his parents Emmi and Alfred Pollak and his brother Wolfgang.
Peter was passionate about traveling the world and had the great fortune to visit every continent except Antarctica (Wolfi did that for him). He gleefully shared his numerous scrapbooks, pictures and slides with everyone.
Peter was a talented Cabinetmaker and DIY expert. He lived independently until his recent illness and maintained the family home lovingly.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Cité de la Santé, Laval and Rose de Lima Palliative Care for their professionalism and kindness.
As per his wishes there will be no service and the family will return his ashes to Austria .
