Jean-Louis Donato
Jean-Louis Donato, 90, died peacefully at his home, on Sunday January 10th, 2016. He was born on November 15, 1925 in Montreal, son of Lucie Lair and François Donato.
After graduating from the HEC in 1950, Jean became an executive to Hydro Quebec until his retirement in 1991.
Subsequently he focused on his craft as an accomplished wood and metal artisan.
In 1951, he married Sylvia Barbara Tamburini and had two children. Jean and Sylvia enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
He was deeply respected and loved, and is remembered by his family and friends as the kindest and brightest of gentlemen; Jean-Louis could build anything, fix anything and had a world of knowledge about history.
His is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia (Tamburini) Donato, his children Jean Paul (Linda Boyko), Michèle (Heidi Blum), his grandchildren Matthew, Drew and Dylan, his brothers Paul (the late Norma), the late Georges (Rita), François (Raymonde), Jacques, (Denise), his sister Suzanne (Georges), his cousin Lyne Larivière, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Canada will be much appreciated.
