Franca Gina Cacchione (née Spetrini)
Peacefully at Notre-Dame-Hospital, Franca Gina passed away on Friday January 3, 2014 at the age of 67. Predeceased by her husband (Nicola) and also by her daughter Magda (Riccardo Mará). Cherished and loving mother of Joe (Isabelle Martiliani), Annamaria (Donato Licursi), Julia (Vincenzo Martoccia) and beloved nonna of Flavia, Roberta, Gianluca, Thomas, Samuele, Kiara, Josué, Lara and Amadeo.
Nonna Liligia will always be remembered for her loving support, kindness, generosity, strength and independent spirit that are an inspiration to all.
Predeceased by her brother Giovanni (Gemma Ferrante), she leaves behind her sister Rosa (Joe Stinziani) and her brother Franco (Raffaella Macchia). She will be missed immensely by her many nieces and nephews here in Canada and Italy.
We are eternally grateful to the many friends, neighbours and extended family members who acted as her guardian angels during her illness.
