Eugene Gilbert Champagne
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene Gilbert Champagne at the Montreal Chest Institute at the age of 74.
He was pre-deceased by his father Ross, Mother Simone and his dear sister Claire.
Gilbert will be sadly missed by his brother Denis (Lynn) and Lloyd (Suzy), also his nieces and nephews Catherine (Greg), Jennifer (Rick), Jason (Sharon), Angela (Shawn), Sarah, Samantha and Brandon.
Great nieces and nephews Nicholas, Natasha, Alexander, Denielle, Meikal and Aurora. Also survived by cousins Brian (Jeananne) in Calgary and Alan (Judy)West Bank, BC.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at Our Lady of Annunciation Parish, 1020 Laird Boulevard Mount Royal, Quebec. Following the mass there will be coffee served in the hall.
We would like to thank the Emergency, CCU, ICU and Orthopaedic staff of The Montreal Jewish Hospital and the Staff at the Montreal Chest Institute for their exceptional care and patience.
We also want to especially thank Sandra Jefferies, friend and care giver, for all the time, effort and love she put in over the past few years making sure Gilbert was well taken care of.
Last but definitely not least, the staff at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Home on Cavendish, who for the last 4 years were family, extraordinary care givers and a place Gilbert called “Home”.
As all who knew him, Gilbert loved music. As such In lieu of flowers he would kindly appreciate a donation to the St. Andrews Presbyterian Home, (3350.
