Paul-Emile Lamoureux
In Brossard, on March 22, 2013, at the age of 92, passed away Paul-Émile Lamoureux, engineer, graduate of McGill University. A pioneer in Canadian aviation, Mr. Lamoureux set up the Materials and Processes Laboratory at Trans-Canada Airlines (now Air Canada) where he was an expert in fuel cleanliness and was responsible for the development and worldwide application of numerous industry standards. While at Canadair, he developed the use of advanced composites and contributed significantly to the Challenger aircraft in use today.
He is preceded in death by his wife Simone Cadorette, his daughter Marie-Thérèse Lamoureux, his parents M.-Henri Lamoureux and Yvonne Bélanger and his brother Marc-Henri. He leaves to mourn his daughters Louise Meldrum (Terry), Diane Nakamura and Claire Lamoureux, his brother Charles-Édouard, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
