Maurice Makoukji
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maurice Makoukji on June 11th, 2012. Much loved husband of Jean Kipps, father of Mark (Carole Doudak) and Andrew (Jessica Mayhew). Cherished grandfather of Christian and Chloe, he will be remembered and missed by all his brothers and sisters as well as nieces and nephews.
Maurice was a long time employee of Pratt and Whitney Canada where he worked for over 30 years.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shustik and staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Montreal General Hospital for their respectful and loving care of our much beloved father.
There will be a visitation at St-Mary’s church, 735 Miller, Greenfield Park, J4V 1W6, beginning at 2:00PM on Friday, June 15th to greet the family, followed by a service at 3:00PM.
The burial will follow at Urgel Bourgie, 8145 Chemin Chambly, St-Hubert, J3Y 5K2.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Maurice’s memory can be made to the Oncology Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same.
