It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helena Maria Matias Pacheco, who passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 88.

Helena is now reunited with her beloved husband, José. She leaves behind her loving children, Aida (José), Rogerio (Mary), and Maria (Jeff); her cherished grandchildren, Jesse (Gwen), Melanie, Stephanie, Julia, and Thomas (Ashley); and her adored great-grandchildren, Aiden and Nathan.

She will always be remembered as Vovó, whose love and presence shaped generations of her family. Helena will be cherished for her kindness, strength, devotion to those she loved, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and dear friends.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The family will receive condolences on June 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Montreal.

A religious service will be held on June 19, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Mission Santa Cruz Church, located at 60 Rachel Street West, Montreal.

The entombment will follow at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
