It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Papadogiannis Tournas, who passed away on June 4, 2026, at the Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé in Laval at the age of 89. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, the late Athanasios Tournas.

She leaves behind her loving children, Panagiota Tournas and Theodoros Monanteras; her cherished grandchildren, Elsa, Helen, and Vasken; as well as many relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Helen will be remembered for her kindness, generous spirit and the warmth she brought to every gathering. She was the heart of many traditions, bringing family and friends together around her table. Through her cooking, hospitality, and care for others, she created memories that will be passed down through generations and forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at:

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé for their compassionate care and support. They would also like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff, nurses, doctors, and caregivers at the CHSLD, whose kindness, patience, and dedication brought comfort and joy to Helen during her time there. 

The many activities, friendships, and special moments she enjoyed enriched her days and created lasting memories for both Helen and her family. Their care, compassion, and unwavering support will never be forgotten.
