Salvatore Rino Scaligine
Salvatore (Rino) Scaligine passed away on January 25,2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on July 19, 1946 in Castellaneta, Italy.
He is survived by his devoted wife Tik Scaligine; his three children Florence (Eric), Thomas (Farah) and Juliana (Bram); grandchildren, Damian, Leo and Nolan; siblings, Michel and Lina; Renee, mother of his children.
Salvatore (Rino) moved to France in his twenties where he studied French and worked as a fashion designer. Shortly thereafter he moved to London, England where he studied English and continued his work as a fashion designer, before immigrating to Canada in 1976.
He settled in Montreal, Quebec and started his own business in the clothing industry; his dedication and commitment were unwavering. Salvatore will be remembered for his devotion and sense of responsibility. His insurmountable commitment inspired his children to approach life with the same diligence and integrity.
He enjoyed early mornings, espresso and listening to music. He played acoustic guitar often playing songs to his three children when they were young.
Above all else, he cherished his family. A lifelong hard worker, he always carried his children in his thoughts and dedicated himself to providing his children with the best possible life. He lived simply, dedicating everything he earned to the well being of his family.
He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
The family will receive condolences on February 6, 2026, at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, located at 3955 chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse in Montreal from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
A religious service will be held on February 7, 2026, at 1 pm at the same location.
