It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Catherine Vassiliou Papgis, who passed away on January 26, 2026, in Montreal, at the age of 96.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Tzanos Papgis, in 1999, after a marriage of 50 years. She is survived by her children Mina Thomas (Jimmy), Noula Polidoropoulos (Jimmy), Johnny Papgis (Teresa), Soula Papgis (John) as well as 5 grandchildren,  8 great grandchildren, other family members, friends and neighbours who loved her deeply.

The family will receive condolences on February 4, 2026, at the Urgel Bourgie Complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Montreal, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A religious service will be held on February 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael Archangels Church, located at 11801 Élie-Blanchard Avenue, Montreal.
The burial will follow at Saint-Laurent Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
