In Loving Memory of Emilio Stabile

1937 – 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emilio Stabile on January 1, 2026, at the age of 88, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He was the devoted husband of Pasquina, his beloved wife of 60 years, and proud father of Anna(Joe), Alberto(Florentina), and Claudio(Marla). His greatest joy was being a “NONNO” to his cherished grandchildren; Anthony (Vanessa), Melissa (Massimo), Celina, Emilio, and Giada, and his great-grandchildren, Giuseppe, Luigi, Briella, and Francesco.

He will be deeply missed by his brother Marino, his brother-in-law Giuseppe (Antonietta), and all his nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished his warm heart and kind spirit.

Emilio was a beautiful soul who arrived from Italy at a young age with very little and went on to build a life he was deeply proud of. He founded his painting company, Belcouleurs, through hard work and dedication, adding color and vibrance to the world around him. He taught his children—that a life well-lived requires both hard work and the importance of having Sunday dinner always surrounded by family. 

The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home (1255 Beaumont Avenue, Mount Royal):

• Tuesday, January 6: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

• Wednesday, January 7: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, at 11:30 a.m. at Madonna Della Difesa Church (6800 Henri-Julien Avenue, Montreal), followed by the burial at Côte-des-Neiges Cemetery.
