Maria Delakas Alevras is survived by Kosta, her loving husband of 60 years; Dimitra and Paulina, her caring children; Ilias and Alex, her wonderful grandkids; her brother Theofrasto and many extended family members and friends who were blessed to have known her. A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend, she passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2025, at the age of 84. Her final moments were spent surrounded by the warm love of her family.

As a mother, the deep family roots she planted have now grown into a mighty tree. She led by example, showing the value of resilience, hard work, and grace. She shaped the lives of her children. Her love and memories will be our guide as the branches of this family tree keep growing.

She lived a life of kindness, strength, and quiet generosity. She had an ageless beauty, a fiery personality and a quick wit about her that would make any comedian jealous. She found joy in the simple moments: gardening, cooking, swimming, sewing, knitting, and time spent with family. She was a deeply intelligent woman, but carried with her a warmth that everyone around her could feel. Though she is no longer with us in body, we feel the presence of her radiant smile, carrying with it a sense of safety, calm, and love that her family will cherish forever.

The family will receive condolences on January 5, 2026, at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue in Montreal, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
