Georgia Memos Kanavaros

In Loving Memory of Georgia Kanavaros 1934-2025
It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Georgia Kanavaros (née Memos).
She was the beloved wife of the late Konstantinos, a devoted mother to Mary and Eliana.  A cherished Yiayia to Christina (Karim), Melissa, Andrew, Philip, and Marissa. Her joy multiplied as a great-grandmother to Christopher, Alexander and Nicholas, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
All that Georgia did, she did well. An accomplished cook and baker, she expressed her love through food, delighting in sharing her beautiful creations with family and friends. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, tradition, and welcome. She was also a dedicated and proud member of the Greek community and St. George Philoptohos where she formed lasting friendships and remained deeply connected to her roots.
Above all else, Georgia’s greatest joy came from time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by her love, wisdom, and guiding presence.

Fiercely independent and unafraid, she lived with bold conviction and moved through life unapologetically. Beneath her strength was a deep tenderness reserved for those she loved. Her loyalty was unwavering, and she fiercely protected those who held her heart.

Georgia will be remembered for her strength, her care for others, and the grace with which she lived her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
