With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Lynn Mahar, who died peacefully on December 5th, 2025, at the age of 60.

Born on January 2nd, 1965, in Montreal, Quebec, Sharon was the beloved child of Roger Mahar and Sylvia Dockrill. Known for her warm, welcoming spirit, her love of travel, and her fondness for Elvis Presley, she was always ready with a coffee or tea for anyone who needed comfort or kindness at her door.

Sharon is survived by her children, Grant Thomas, and Michael Anthony (Priscilla), and is reunited with her daughter Melissa Dawn (deceased in 1987), her brother Roger and family. She leaves behind a loving circle of family and friends, including Charlie Mahar (Sylvia), Dale Mahar (Michel), Holly Mahar (Sean), as well as her siblings, nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family. All who knew and loved her are invited to hold dear the memories they shared with her. We would like to thank the members and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Anna-Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay, Québec, for their compassionate care. 

A private burial will be held with close family and friends, in keeping with Sharon’s wishes.
