It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Clarkson Williams, who left us on Monday, December 1, 2025 in Montreal, at the age of 77.
Mr. Williams is survived by his beloved wife Joy, his son Eugene, and his daughter Cindy. He also leaves behind his sisters: the late Clare, Paula, Angela, and Dorrett, along with many other relatives, colleagues and friends who have cherished, respected and loved him throughout the years.
Mr. Williams spent much of his career as an engineer and machinist at CPS Industries, where he was known for his precision, reliability, and strong work ethic. His dedication to his work and the pride he took in his craft left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.
Outside his professional life, he was an exceptionally talented tailor who created suits marked by detail, elegance, and a personal touch. His skill at the sewing machine reflected the same patience and mastery he brought to every aspect of his life.
At home, Mr. Williams was a remarkable cook, preparing Jamaican dishes made with love, warmth and tradition. He was especially known for his curried goat and baked dumplings, which will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of tasting them. Mr. Williams’ life was also defined by his devotion to his family, his craftsmanship, and his quiet strength.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, located at 3955 Côte-de-Liesse Road in Montreal, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A tribute ceremony in his honour will take place at the same location at 12:30 p.m. The burial will follow at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, located at 4601 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges in Montréal, commencing at 2:15 p.m.
