Incoronata Corrado

It is with very heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Incoronata Corrado, affectionately known as “Cory” to her friends. She  left us on October 21, 2025, at the age of 72, following a long and difficult medical journey which she faced with courage and dignity.

Born on March 4, 1953, in Muro Lucano, Italy, Incoronata was the beloved daughter of the late Gerardo and Rosa Discianni Corrado. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving siblings Maria Corrado Tommasino (widow of the late John) and Antonio Corrado and his wife Anna, as well as her cherished nephews and niece — Stephen, David, Mark, and Alexia — each of whom brought her joy and pride. She will also be greatly missed by her aunts, cousins and many friends.

Incoronata was an elementary school teacher from 1975 to 2010 when she retired. She had an artistic soul and a keen eye for beauty in nature. Often combining her passion for writing poetry with photography, she captured moments that revealed the quiet grace of everyday life — a bloom opening in sunlight, and the stillness of nature. She found joy in simple things — gardening, caring for animals, and connecting deeply with people. Her thoughtfulness and gentle humor brought light and warmth to every room she entered.

In her final year, Incoronata faced profound medical challenges following cardiac surgery. Despite the immense difficulties that followed, she continued to show extraordinary resilience. Her strength was upheld by the steadfast love, advocacy, and tireless care of her devoted family who ensured she was surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity throughout her long ordeal.

The passing of Incoronata, a devout Catholic whose life was guided by faith, leaves a deep emptiness in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Though her final years were marked by health struggles, her story is one of Love, independence, courage, hope and the unbreakable bonds of family and friendship — a legacy that will forever live on in the lives she touched.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported and cared for her throughout her life with kindness and compassion.

The family will receive condolences on November 2, 2025, at the Urgel Bourgie Complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
