It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonina Paniconi Masella, who left us peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born on February 4, 1936, in Agnone, Italy, Antonina built a life of love, strength, and devotion. On October 17, 1957, she immigrated to Canada, where she met her beloved husband, the late Giovanni Masella, created a beautiful family and legacy. She is also predeceased by her cherished son, Antonio Masella.

Antonina will be forever remembered by her daughter Gina and her husband Joe, and her son Claudio and his wife Pauline. She was the proud and loving Nonna of Giovanni (Lucia), Ivano (Stefania), Agostino (Carolyn), Massimo (Kayla), Gianluca (Vanessa), and Alyssia-Marie (Nour Mohamed), and her greatest joy came from being a Bisnonna to 15 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Lorenzo, Emma, Adriana, Adriano, Sebastiano, Giordano, Romeo, Vita, Massimo Junior, Simone, Annalisa, Kairo, Vera, and Jason.

Antonina’s love for her family was boundless. She found her greatest happiness in their presence, celebrating each milestone and creating countless cherished memories. Her warmth, devotion, and unconditional love will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

Her memory will be a blessing and a light to guide her family for generations to come.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Urgel Bourgie Athos, located at 6700 Beaubien Street, Montréal, Qc H1M 3E3.

A mass will be on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-la-Défense Parish, located at 6800 Henri-Julien Avenue, Montréal, Québec, H2S 2V4.

The entombment will follow the mass at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, located at 4601 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, Québec, H3V 1E7.
