It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Rocco Petrella, who passed away on March 18, 2025, in Hawkesbury at the age of 85.

Mr. Petrella is mourned by his sisters, Anna Maria Petrella (the late Luigi) and Angela Petrella (Nicola), his nieces and nephews, his great-nieces, his great-nephew, his step-daughter, and his many friends and colleagues both in Montreal and Hawkesbury.  Rocco was predeceased by his wife, Ann Marzitelli, his parents, Matteo and Anna Maria Petrella, and his brothers, Michele and Donato.  He is remembered as an artist and a man of humour, generosity and humility.

The family will receive condolences on April 2, 2025, at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, located at 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Mount Royal, H3P 2H2, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on April 3, 2025, at Notre-Dame-de-la-Défense Church, 6800 Henri-Julien Avenue, Montreal, QC H2S 2V4, at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Côte-des-Neiges Cemetery.
