It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfonsa Castellana, who passed away on March 3, 2025, in Montreal. She was the wife of the late Carmelo Chiara.

She leaves behind her children, Giuseppina (Lorenzo) and Maria Rosa (Joseph), her grandchildren Amanda (Johnny), Michael, Rico (Elleni), Lisa, Kevin, and Jennifer, her great-grandchildren Penelope and Eliano, as well as many relatives and friends in Belgium, Italy, the United States, and Canada.

The family will receive condolences at the Urgel Bourgie/Athos funeral complex, located at 6700 Beaubien East, on March 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The funeral service will be held on March 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Consolata Church, located at 1700 Jean-Talon East, Montreal (QC), H2E 1T2.
