It is with deep tenderness that we announce the passing of Denise Gervais, née Boyer, on February 21, 2025, in Montreal, at the age of 95. Born in Haiti on April 23, 1929, Denise lived her life with boundless generosity, infinite kindness, and radiant wisdom. She now joins her beloved husband, Henri Gervais, "le Doc," whom she cherished so dearly.

Her memory remains alive in the hearts of her children Yves (Marie-Claude), Marie-Denise (Herold), and Henri (Marnie), as well as Marie-Thérèse (Antoine). Her grandchildren Laurah, Nicole (Thomas), Alexander, Nayah (Lakeria), Lele, and Coralie will forever treasure the imprint of her light and affection. She also leaves behind a multitude of loved ones—family and friends—whom she welcomed into her life without hesitation, opening not only her heart but also her home, offering a warm refuge to many over the years.

Her smile, gentleness, and infinite kindness will continue to resonate within us. We know that she watches over us, as she always did—discreet yet ever-present.

Rest in peace, beautiful soul. Your memory will remain etched in our hearts today and forever.

To honor Denise’s memory, the family will receive condolences on April 26, 2025, at the Urgel Bourgie Complex located at 3955 Côte-de-Liesse Road, Saint-Laurent, H4N 2N6, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a light meal and cocktail in her memory.

As blue was Denise’s favorite color, the family invites you to wear blue in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fondation Gracia, which supports the CHSLD St-Laurent, whose staff cared so warmly for Denise.
