We regret to announce that Mr. Albert G. Hopkins passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 88, in St-Jean Sur Richelieu. He now rests beside his loving wife Anne.

He is survived by his children Tom (Isabelle) and Jennifer, his grandchildren, Jordan (Irene), Matthew (Katia), Emily and Ashley, his sister Wendy, nephews and nieces, and his many family and friends who will cherish the precious moments spent at his side.

Albert was born and raised in Verdun. A sports enthusiast, he was an outstanding Football player with the Verdun Shamcats and Lakeshore Alo uettes. He met the love of his life, Anne, with whom he married  and moved to Chambly to start a family . He was very involved in the sports community as a referee and coach for various teams, as well as later on in life, donated his time as a volunteer for several years with the provincial Pee Wee Hockey tournament and the Chambly/Revere Hockey exchange.

Albert will be remembered by those around him for his loving smile, great generosity and unusual sense of humour.

 The family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Complex in Saint-Hubert, 8145 chemin Chambly, 514 735-2025. A ceremony in his honour will be held that same Saturday, March 8, at 4 p.m. in the complex chapel.

In lieu of flowers, your expression of sympathy may be expressed by a donation to the Société de Recherche sur le cancer.
