Passed away in Montreal May 2, 2009 at the age of eighty-eight. Predeceased by her husband James Barakett, she leaves behind her sister Amelia Zakem, other relatives and friends. Member of the Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch, past president of the Antiochian Women and Honorary Member of St. Nicholas Parish Council.
