Dwane Read
Beloved husband and constant companion of Karen (Sokolyk) devoted and loving father of John Douglas, Dwane left us on Monday January 26th with his family by his side. A life that had many challenges he lived it to the best of his abilities as he like to say “ We do our best Angels do no less”.
He also leaves to mourn his mother Johanna (McGillivray) and his many brothers, sisters and extended family in Nova Scotia. Dwane will be deeply and especially missed by his wife Karen, his son John, his sister Marian (Andreas Giannakis), his nieces Shanna and Ali, his nephew Andrew, his brother Doug (Wendy) of Calgary, his brothers-in-law, Gary, Doug, Tim and Chris of Ontario.
The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the dedicated and caring staff of the ICU at the Jewish General Hospital.
In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated, and may be sent to: Association Benevole Amitie Inc. 4060 Ste. Catherine O, # 540 H1W 2G8 which is a resource centre for the mentally ill in our society.
