Stanley Mikus
We are sad to announce the passing of Stanley Mikus, age eighty-eight, on October 1st, 2022 surrounded by family. Stan is predeceased by his beloved wife whom he dearly missed, Helen Przystal Mikus. He leaves to mourn his children Andrew (Maureen David), Stephen (Tatiana Vera-Lescano), Julian and Stanley (Philippe McCormack), his grandchildren Alexander, Matthew, Tatiana, Christopher, Stephen, Benjamin and Henri.
Stan is also predeceased by his brothers Mark Mikus (Louise-Michelle Sauriol) and Eugene Mikus (the late Winnie Czechowski), as well as brother-in-law Mike Przystal and is survived by his brother-in-law Fred Przystal (Janice). He will also be remembered by his extended family.
Stan was a hard-working man, having fulfilled a lifelong career at CP Rail. He had a keen interest in working with his hands, having proudly built two country homes over the years and taking on countless other small projects.
The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie, 1255 Beaumont Avenue, Town of Mount Royal on Thursday, October 27th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 28th at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 875 Marcel-Laurin Boulevard (corner Decelles), Ville St-Laurent followed by the interment at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
