Passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 28, 2022, at the age of ninety. Mary was always known as the “fun mom” - delightful in the things that she would say and do, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends but most of all by her ever-loving daughter Tina (David Richardson) and her grandchildren Taylor and Tori. Predeceased by her husband Robert Newell and sons Robert and Wayne, it will be her greatest joy to reunite with them once again.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 3rd from 11:30-1:30 at Urgel Bourgie / Athos 1275 Dollard Ave, Lasalle, Quebec, a ceremony will follow in the chapel of the complex. In respect of the current COVID 19 pandemic, gathering in person for the service will be small but also live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person, you can attend virtually by clicking on the orange camera.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to St Joseph’s Oratory in Mary’s adopted city of Montreal will allow for the continuation of the work of Saint Brother André.
