It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Walsh (nee Jeanne D'arc Lavigne). Predeceased by her first husband Raymond Carwardine and their two sons Winston Carwardine (2001) and Frank Carwardine (2008). Joan remarried and is also predeceased by her second husband Gerry Walsh with whom she did not have any children but he was the stepfather to Winston and Frank.

Joan leaves behind four Grandchildren Angelique McGuire, Franklin Carwardine, Shawna Carwardine and Ashley Carwardine and three Great Grandchildren Faith McGuire, Taegan McGuire and Trey McGuire whom loved her very much. Joan will be greatly missed by her one remaining sibling Elizabeth Lavigne and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and treasured her relationships with all of them. Joan loved her pets (too many to list through the years) and spending her summers at her Chalets where she would often meet new people whom would become a part of her life and many, many happy memories and a source of support when needed.

Joan was blessed to have had a family that loved her more than words could express and friends whom cared deeply about her. To have known Joan was to have met a truly strong minded, independent woman whom was not afraid of a little hard work and telling like she saw it.
