Alain Jandaly
In loving memory of Alain Jandaly
(December 16, 1965 – June 13, 2026)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alain Jandaly, 60, who passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Alain was born December 16, 1965 in Birmingham, England, to his beloved parents Majed and Jean-Elizabeth (nee Armitt) Jandaly. In 1971, his family moved to Montreal, Canada, where he spent the rest of his life. Alain crafted a stunning 38-year career in global logistics, leaving behind a legacy in the industry for his unparalleled work ethic, passion, and deep, transformational relationships. In his day to day life, he carried himself with intention and drive to elevate those around him.
To know Alain was to know devotion, compassion, passion, loyalty, humility, inquisitiveness, introspection, thoughtfulness, humor, and love, which were equally reflected in his core and fundamental values. His kindness and generosity spanned every interaction and area of his life. He was a coach and mentor to many; a student of the world; a son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson, friend, and colleague. He found sanctuary in his community at Midtown Sanctuaire where he dedicated 17 years into the heart of yoga. The Sanctuaire, alongside his family home, was home; the space he felt most at peace, where he cultivated profound friendships for over 30 years; a space where he nurtured his lifelong commitment to health and well-being. A man of high passions, he had an endless love of music, fine food and travel, good wines, and the time he took to enjoy all his pleasures. Most of all, he was fully devoted to and adored by his family and friends, who were his family.
He will forever be an inspiration for his brave and unwavering fight against stage IV colorectal cancer. The tremendous strength and courage he showed has and will remain a pillar of hope within and beyond his beautiful community of friends, family, and all who have had the privilege to know him.
He will be deeply missed and cherished by his daughter, Anita (Caitlin); his younger brother, Phil (Mishka), and older half-brother, Jean (Laurence); his niece, Dylan, and half-niece Zoé; cousins, and extended family around the world; and a host of friends that he adored, especially his honorary brother and best friend, Matthew Mirizzi (Arghi).
He is predeceased by his parents, Majed and Jean-Elizabeth, and will be laid to rest beside them at the Urgel Bourgie funeral home at 3955 Chem. de la Côte-de-Liesse, Saint-Laurent on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 3:00pm. Services will be held at the same location between 9:30am and 3:00pm.
You are so loved. We love you. Rest in peace.
