Geraldine Bowles Sherriff
In Loving Memory of Geraldine (Gerry) Bowles‑Dove Sherriff
October 10, 1939 – May 21, 2026
With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Geraldine Bowles‑Dove Sherriff, who passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 86. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and unwavering devotion to the people she cherished.
Born in Siparia, Trinidad and Tobago, Geraldine carried the vibrant spirit of her island home throughout her life. In 1960, she bravely began a new chapter in Canada, where she built a life grounded in hard work, compassion, and family. Her career as a radiology technician reflected her natural gift for caring for others, and her kindness and humor made her a source of comfort to everyone she encountered.
Geraldine loved to travel and found her greatest joy in time spent with family. Whether visiting her daughter in Miami or her son in New York City, she delighted in good seafood, lively conversation, and the simple happiness of being together. Her favorite retreat was the peaceful camping trailer in Port Kent, New York — a place where she felt truly at ease, surrounded by nature and the people she loved most.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Sherriff (2019), and is lovingly remembered by her daughter Shoshana, her son Darren, and her daughter‑in‑law Melissa. Geraldine's grandchildren, Marcus and Marlen, were the light of her life, and she generously poured her love, humor, and wisdom into them. She is also survived by her sisters, Marilyn and Stephanie, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Geraldine will be remembered for her generosity, quick wit, and the steady, comforting presence she brought into every room. Her love was constant, her laughter contagious, and her strength inspiring. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service celebrating Geraldine's life will be held on May 30, 2026 at 2 PM EST, at Urgel Bourgie, 1275 Dollard Ave, LaSalle, Quebec. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of a life beautifully lived and deeply loved.
Please feel free to share your memories, messages, and condolences below. Your words will help keep Geraldine's spirit alive for all who loved her.
