Our beloved Rudy (né Rudolph Joseph) passed away peacefully on February 19, 2012, surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 52 years, Elaine (née Shamy), by his daughter Kim (Greg McVittie), his son Paul (Christine), his brother Edward Assali (Carola) and by his grandchildren Eric, Jacqueline, Andie and Ryan. He is predeceased by his brother Robert.

Rudy was passionate about art and music, having studied painting with Arthur Lismer and having played saxophone in the era of the big band. He worked for over 40 years in the music industry, first with London Records, then with Polydor and finally with RCA. He was a devoted husband, father and uncle whose heart of gold will be missed by all who knew him.
