Solange Imbeault
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Solange Imbeault, who died following a sudden illness on January 31st, 2026, at the age of 84.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Sylvain Sauvé (2001); her husband, Gerry Apostolatos (2007); and her brothers, Noël and Jean-Claude.
She leaves in mourning her cherished daughter and greatest pride, Valerie, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Solange was a woman of grace and warmth—beautiful, stylish, and elegant throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and an exceptional mother, known for her kindness, generosity, and immense heart. Her radiant smile and vibrant presence brought light to everyone she encountered. Her life was one of quiet devotion, especially to her daughter, for whom she gave endlessly and unconditionally.
She had a deep love for animals and expressed this compassion through action, feeding and adopting stray cats whenever she could. She also loved her dogs dearly, who brought her great comfort and joy.
In her earlier years, Solange worked at the Orpheum Theatre, Dorval Airport, and as a hostess at the Pavillon de l’Atlantique. She later served as a nurse’s aide at the CHU Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital, where she cared tenderly for sick and vulnerable children. She eventually dedicated herself fully to her family, becoming a loving homemaker and devoted mother.
A mass will be held in her memory at the Urgel Bourgie/Athos funeral complex located at 1255 Beaumont, in the Town of Mount Royal, on Monday, February 9th, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Solange’s memory to the SPCA or to Le CHU Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital, in honour of her lifelong compassion.
