It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Pearl Odessa Harris Nurse. She died peacefully, on December 29, 2025, at the spectacular age of 100. She was the widow of Ivan S. Nurse, to whom she was married for 55 years. She was the mother of Yvonne (Bob), Fenella (Irvine), and Clotelle (Joseph). Grandmother of Gina (Geoff), Stephen (Cheryl), Debbie, Deanna (Jason), Christopher (Yannick), Kwame, and Sharifa (Julian). Great-grandmother of André (Niki), Renée (Ramone), Vanessa, Spencer, Sydney, Kellie (Shaun), Nikkie, Ifé, Matthew, Zuri, Zahra, Thierry, and Joāo. Great-great grandmother of Cassius. She was a loving aunt, great-aunt, and godmother. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family in Canada, the United States, and Barbados. Our precious Pearl was a devoted member of Evangel Pentecostal Church of Montreal, and faithful remote attendee until shortly before her move to Ontario, in August of 2025. Over the course of her life, she was a choir member, Sunday school teacher, active volunteer, care-giver, supporter of charities, and friend to many.
 

She will be sorely missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
