Ronald “Sonny” Northrup, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025 at the age of 93.  He was predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce and his son-in-laws Robert and Gerry.

He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Sharon and Lynn, and proud “Poppa” to Brendan (Sandra) and Shannon (Michael) as well as his “bonus” granddaughter Kimberlee (Scott).

He spent his career working at Pratt and Whitney, where his love for airplanes found a perfect home.  Outside of work he was an enthusiastic fan of ALL sports.   He also had a remarkable ability to fix almost anything, often coming up with the most creative and ingenious solutions, a talent that never failed to impress.

He will be remembered for his gentle, easy-going spirit, his kindness and the love he had for his family.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
