It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Patrick Geraghty, who left us at the age of 62.

John will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Debbie Penning, his daughter Mikayla and his son Leighton. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. 

He was the toughest man with the kindest heart who was passionate about sports and dedicated to his community. John spent many years as a coach, inspiring countless players with his leadership, kindness, and unwavering enthusiasm for the game. He leaves behind the Lac-Des-Seize-Iles community where his legacy will live on.

The family will receive your condolences on Sunday, December 21, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Complex in Saint-Hubert, 8145 Chemin de Chambly, 514-735-2025. A celebration of life will be held that same Sunday, December 21, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the complex. As per John’s request, the dress code is jeans and t-shirts.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St-Mary’s Hospital Foundation.

The family would like to thank the caregiving staff of the Oncology Department and ICU at St-Mary’s Hospital for the excellent care provided, and especially Jennifer Wilson, for her support, which truly touched our family.
