Glen Knight

Obituary for Brother Glen Radford Knight

With deep sorrow yet abiding hope in Christ’s promise of resurrection, the family of Brother Glen Radford Knight announces his peaceful passing at home in Brossard, Quebec, on the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025. He was lovingly surrounded by his devoted wife of 57 years, Sister Roslyn Burth, and their children.

Born on May 20, 1943, in the beautiful hills of Clover Hill, St. Ann, Jamaica, Glen was the eldest of twelve children of Iris Lawrence and  Fitzherbert Knight. He grew up in a lively household where faith, resilience, and family bonds shaped his character. His siblings—the late Hope (beloved Yvonne), George “Tony”, Elton “Hughie”, Winston (wife TBC), Issac “Norry” ( beloved Evelyn), Armon ”Bill” (beloved Raphaelle), the late Lorna “Lyn”, Joan, Patricia, and Oral “Oakie” ( beloved Aleli)—were the foundation of his early life.

In 1967, Glen immigrated to Canada during Montreal’s Expo World Fair, carrying with him the vision and strength of his Jamaican roots. At age 24, he worked at Expo 67, and in 1968 he became a fuel injection specialist at Canada Allied Diesel (CAD). That same year, on July 14, 1968, he married Roslyn, the love of his life. Together they built a legacy of faith and family through their children Mark (with wife Sherlyn) and Nadine (with partner Sean), and later through the joy of grandchildren—Davia, Elijah, Mischa, and Myles—whom he cherished deeply.

Brother Knight was a man of God, a faithful servant, and a dedicated member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His life was marked by steadfast devotion to Christ, commitment to his family, and service to his community. He lived with humility, strength, and love, always pointing others to the hope found in Jesus.

He was predeceased by his parents and several siblings, yet his memory continues to live on through the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Cedars Oncology Day Clinic at the MUHC Glen Center, and to all the staff who provided exceptional care and attention. Special gratitude is offered to Dr. Shustick, Dr. Sebag, and Dr. How, as well as the nurses and caregivers Borgahn, Kassandra, Sandra, Paula, Rashida, and Godly. The family also wishes to acknowledge the many relatives and friends who offered support during Brother Knight’s illness.

“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.” — Revelation 14:13
