It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Giovanni (John) Tartamella on October 29th 2025, in Montreal at the age of 78.

Son of the late Salvatore Tartamella and the late Caterina Mistretta, he is survived by his beloved spouse Mrs. Lidia Savastano, his cherished children, Sandra (Robert), Silvia (Tomasz), Santino (Lisa-Marie), his precious grandchildren, Bianca, Mégane, Jesse, Romeo, Alexis, Jayden, his sister Maria (feu Virgilio), his late brother Tony (Vita), his brother Leonardo (Gina), his sister in law Dina (late Pino), nieces and nephews as well as many relatives and friends.

Visitations will take place Sunday November 9th from 4:00PM to 9:00PM as well as Monday November 10th from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at the Urgel Bourgie/Athos funeral complex, 6700 Beaubien East, Montreal.

A ceremony will be held this same Monday, at 12:00PM, within the chapel of the complex, followed by the interment in the columbarium of the Repos-Saint-François-d’Assise.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in his memory are suggested.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caregivers and staff of the Dante CHSLD for their care and support.
