James Joseph Verge
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our kind, loving husband, father, grand father, great grand father and special friend who passed away on November 9th, 2010. Jim was very fond of life and golf. He lovingly brought up six children with his wife Yolande who predeceased him (1989).
We were privileged to have had such a sweet, loving and devoted parent whose noble life was a guidepost for all of us.
RCAF – Navigator in World War II, trader with TAL Global Asset Management Incorporated, alderman and Mayor of Saint Bruno, Quebec from 1956 to 1975.
All his children, Carole (1947), Maureen (1949-1998), Stewart (Carmen), Dorothy (Silvano), Dennis (Gillian) and Jimmy (Elizabeth), his grandchildren Jason, Melissa, Nathalie, Marco, Stephanie (Riyaz), Kathryn, Kyle, and his great grandchildren Darya and Nura will miss him.
He also leaves to mourn his wife Simone Savaria, her children Claude, Normand and Sylvain and her grandchildren Claude, Alexandre, Amelie and Mathieu.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to La Maison Victor-Gadbois, 1000 rue Chabot, St-Mathieu-de-Beloil (450-467-1710) would be much appreciated by the family.
The family extends its thanks and appreciation to all the loving people at Victor-Gadbois who provided tender care to Jim during his last days.
