The family of Ethel Ula Haynes Braithwaite is saddened to announce of her passing on July 9, 2025 at the age of 93 years. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

She was beloved wife of 63 year to the late Alfred Braithwaite. She was the mother to the late Carolyn Braithwaite and Anthony Braithwaite, grandmother to Shawn Braithwaite, sister of the late Wilfred Haynes (late Doris), Myrtle Dade (late Timothy), the late Milton Haynes (late Peggy), the late Rona Leacock (late Raymond) and Shirley Adams (late James). Ethel is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, lifelong friends and other relatives.

A celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 @ 10:00 am at Union United Church - 3007 Rue Delisle Street, Montréal, QC H4C 1M8.

A visitation be held prior to the service from 9 am. A reception will be held following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union United Church Scholarship Fund and/of Alzheimer Society of Canada.
